Dell OEM Partner for End-to-End Liquid Cooling Solutions
JetCool, a Flex Company, is expanding its partnership with Dell Technologies as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Partner, introducing a new generation of its SmartPlate™ System purpose-built for Dell’s latest PowerEdge platforms. Designed for high-density compute and AI workloads, this next-generation SmartPlate System will be available on the Dell PowerEdge R670 (1U) and R760 (2U) servers, with production starting this summer. AMD-compatible versions are planned for release in Fall 2025.
This announcement builds on JetCool’s continued momentum with Dell, where the current generation of the SmartPlate System is already in global production and actively deployed across enterprise data centers worldwide from Tokyo, Japan to NYC, NY. The new-generation SmartPlate System further enhances performance and integration capabilities, providing Dell customers with a reliable thermal solution for Intel Granite Rapids and AMD Turin processors, ensuring optimal compute performance without thermal limitations.
Designed for Dell. Built for Performance.
JetCool’s SmartPlate System is a fully sealed, self-contained direct-to-chip liquid cooling solution. It delivers immediate benefits—up to 15% total server power savings—while eliminating the need for facility water, external plumbing, or infrastructure upgrades. It’s an ideal fit for power-constrained environments such as colocations, edge compute sites, and financial services deployments.
The new generation of the SmartPlate System is specifically optimized for 17th generation Dell PowerEdge platforms, offering speed-to-market and enabling customers to immediately maximize compute in power-constrained environments—without the need to add facility water lines or make infrastructure modifications. This self-contained solution allows organizations to confidently deploy today’s highest-performance chipsets while maintaining operational simplicity.
“With the new SmartPlate System, we’re helping customers deploy more compute per rack in colocations and facilities that don’t have water hookups, all while cutting power consumption and improving thermal performance,” said Dr. Bernie Malouin, JetCool Founder and Flex Vice President. “Now part of Flex, we’re enabling next-generation liquid cooling at any scale, anywhere on the planet.”
“Michael Dell has always said that his primary purpose is to enable human progress,” said Corbin Moore, Regional Sales Director, OEM Sales Engineering at Dell. “One of the things I love best about working at Dell is the ability to work with companies like JetCool, who are enabling human progress in ways we have not considered in the past—and will enable use cases in the future that have not been developed yet.”
Global Production Today, New Platforms Tomorrow
JetCool’s current SmartPlate System is already in production globally with Dell, backed by Flex’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and data center service infrastructure. The new-generation SmartPlate System enters production this summer and will extend support to AMD platforms in the fall.
This rollout gives Dell customers a full-stack liquid cooling solution—scalable, globally supported, and engineered for both present and future infrastructure needs.
Where to See It
JetCool’s SmartPlate™ System is available for demonstration at Dell Customer Solution Centers (CSC), with additional CSC locations launching soon. In addition, customers can experience the SmartPlate System firsthand at the Equinix Customer Innovation Facility in Ashburn, Virginia, and at the Telehouse Liquid Lab in London, United Kingdom.
